Last week we went on a trip to Santa Cruz Island and explored the island.

I woke up and we had started the engine and were on our way.  When we got there we anchored, jumped off the boat, slept, got up, started up the engine and went to the Painted Cave.  When we found the cave we got in the dingy with the big flashlight and went into the dark caves.  We came out within 2 minutes because it was scary!  After everyone checked out the cave we headed back to Oxnard.

This year we went to Modesto for Thanksgiving.  There were lots of dogs at the houses we visited. At my Aunt Dorene’s house there were lots of dogs.  At my Grammy’s house we saw three dogs. At Aunt Chris’ house there were two dogs.  I met lots of dogs during Thanksgiving.

Coco Bean is a fluffy Pomeranian that belongs to my Aunt Ashley.  I love coco bean because she is adorable.  When I pick up the dog toy she just sits there waiting for me to throw it so I throw the toy and Coco bean goes and gets it. Coco Bean is so cute because she does adorable things like sitting at the table like she’s human. Coco Bean is small with short legs and a black nose.

Molly is a long hair dachshund that belongs to my Mom.  Molly likes to dig in gopher holes and gets herself all dirty.  Molly is longer and is faster compared to Coco Bean. Molly enjoys seeing Grammy a lot.

Georgie has really soft fur and is smaller than Molly. Georgie is shorter than Molly and is very light when I hold her.  She likes to play with Molly.

Some of the other dogs I saw are; Bentley, Bailey’s dog, was the first dog I saw. He was very hyper when he looks at me. Next is Rio, Aunt Joyce & Uncle Todd’s dog, he is faster because he has bigger legs. Charlie is smaller than Rio. Mazey, Auntie Chandra’s dog, is the same size as Charlie. Brandy, Aunt Dorene’s dog, he is very very hyper and nervous.  Once he is inside the house he doesn’t want to go out!

These are all of the dogs I saw and I really miss them. I hope that I get to see them again.

I can’t wait to swim in the next swimming pool.  My family and I travel and discover new swimming pools.   I don’t know what pools I will discover next.

When we travel my family stays in hotels sometimes and they have pools.  My family and I went to Orlando Florida in the month of November on Thanksgiving. There was a pool and a lazy river that I went in.  That is my favorite pool.   There was a hot tub that I did not go in because I wasn’t allowed.  There's one pool I did not like because it was cold and that is the Charleston, South Carolina hotel pool. Another pool I liked and that was in Colorado Springs, Colorado because it is near the airplane restaurant.

I like harbor's with pools because it gives me something to do that’s fun. There's one pool in Oxnard that you have to walk to the pool. In Oxnard you have to go through a building to go to the pool. There's a pool in Chula Vista that you have go through a gate to get to the pool and you have to go through a second gate to go to the hot tub.

Some of my family has pools that I can swim in.  In Grandpa Dahlin’s pool I played with an inflatable jet ski.  I love the way that the inflatable jet ski cuts through the water like a bullet.  Next to the pool is a hot tub built into the ground. I ate food next to the pool and after I ate I got my goggles on and jumped back into the pool. My Aunt and Uncle have a darkish black pool. In the Reynolds pool they have something that cleans the bottom of the pool automatically. There are stairs going into the pool and there is a small waterfall in the pool. The Reynolds do not have hot tub.

I’ve been to other pools as well. There’s one pool at the Simpkin's Swim Center that I like. I use to do swim lessons there. I played a really fun shark game. I did the swim test to go to the deep end and I made it. When I got to the deep end a lifeguard gave me a wristband that said I could go in the deep end.

Whether its the pool is at my family's or a harbor or a facility, I love to swim in pools. The more I swim the better I get and have fun all along the way.

Yesterday I went to the Aquarium of the Pacific with my Dad.  The aquarium is located in Long Beach, California which is where we sailed after Oxnard. I live on a boat and I do home school for science and this week my Dad decided to take us to the aquarium.  We left at ten o’clock in the morning to walk there.  It was a long walk with my Dad and my brother Elliot.

At the aquarium I saw some scuba divers feeding all of the fish in the tank.  It was a big tank that had four divers and lots of fish, maybe even a million of them. I smelled the food that was in the cafe.  The cinnamon treats smelled so good that I wish I had the money to buy one.  I got wet in the watershed area because I got sprayed with water that comes overhead that is suppose to be rain.  At the bottom of the watershed I put my hands in the water pit.  The watershed shows me how rain travels down hills and streets to the drains and into the ocean.   I saw lots of sharks in the shark tank like a sword shark.  A sword shark has a nose that looks like a sword.

I liked a lot of things at the aquarium like the sharks in the tank and the otter game. I played the otter game and here's how to play,  there are six questions about sea otters and if you get them right then your otter moves closer to the feeding grounds.  The first to the feeding grounds wins the game. This aquarium has all of the stuff like touch screens and a cafe and a wet area that Monterey Bay Aquarium does not have so I like it better.
